The fair assembles galleries from across Australia and the Asia Pacific region, presenting exhibitions, live performances, and large-scale installations across the Carriageworks industrial heritage sheds.<\/p>\n<p>The Spatial Commissions programme invites architects and artists to collaborate on ambitious works designed specifically for the Carriageworks spaces. These commissions sit at the intersection of gallery practice and spatial design, drawing practitioners who work across cultural infrastructure, installation, and scenography in projects that test the boundaries of both disciplines.<\/p>\n<p>Carriageworks has hosted Sydney Contemporary since the inaugural edition in 2013. A Collector Preview opens on 2 September ahead of the general public programme.
