The 25th Biennale of Sydney arrives under the title Rememory \u2014 an invitation to consider how places, objects, and bodies hold the residue of the past, and what it means to inhabit a world built on layered, often contested histories. Staged across three months and multiple Sydney venues, the Biennale brings together artists from Australia and around the world to create new works in response to these ideas, with White Bay Power Station serving as the primary and most spectacular site.<\/p>\n

White Bay Power Station is itself a site charged with memory \u2014 an extraordinary industrial heritage building on the Rozelle foreshore that sat derelict for decades before being brought back to life as a cultural venue. Its vast turbine halls, soaring brickwork, and sense of accumulated time make it an almost ideal setting for an exhibition preoccupied with what places remember and what they forget. For architects and designers, a visit is as much about the building as it is about the art within it.<\/p>\n
