The festival is run by Te P\u016btahi Centre for Architecture and City-Making and is held each year on the first weekend of May. The preview programme lists 53 buildings plus four walking and cycling tours.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside the building openings there are guided walks covering designed landscapes and urban design, plus talks, tours, exhibitions, workshops, audio tours and activities for young people and wh\u0101nau. Of the listed buildings, 33 need no booking and 25 require bookings, and the popular tours book out early. The 2027 programme is published as a preview and details may change before the festival.<\/p>\n<p>For architects in Christchurch, the weekend is the most direct way to see how the rebuilt city is being used, and to get inside projects by local practices that are otherwise closed to visitors.
