Business Development Consultant - Luxury Flooring

Our client is seeking a Business Development professional who is passionate about luxurious hardwood timber flooring to be responsible for sales and build relationships with new and existing clients.

Our client has been a leading Australian importer and distributor for over 20 years of luxury hardwood timber flooring.  Sourcing only the finest hardwood from around the world with an emphasis on quality, design and sustainability.  As the company continues to move from strength to strength, they are looking for a reliable, ambitious, career-focused individual with the right attitude to join them on their journey of success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Exceptional product and business knowledge as you bring awareness and credibility to the company brand
  • Develop, manage and retain relationships with the building and trade industry
  • Actively searching sales leads with customers, Trade, Architects and Designers
  • Manage and generate sales activity including sales visits, client presentations, showroom visits, and appointments
  • Identify potential new clients, markets and opportunities for growth.
  • Manage the sales effort from the showroom, including scheduling appointments and arranging and manage promotional events and product launches at the showroom.
  • Using Salesforce CRM to maintain an effective client database of current and prospective clients.


Skills and Experience

  • 3-5 years experience in similar sole
  • Strong time management, administration and organisational skills
  • Ideally have a strong network and proven experience developing strategic partnerships
  • Confident in approaching clients and providing presentations
  • Driven and enthusiastic to generate new business and brand awareness
  • Professional communication and presentation
