About this role

Bespoke Careers is the leading architecture and design recruitment agency with offices in London, Sydney, Melbourne, New York, Los Angeles and Dallas. We are looking to hire an Operations Manager for our ten-person New York office to provide operational support to the Managing Director and a team of busy recruitment consultants. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day to day operations and support of the team
  • Oversee office HR functions including timekeeping and attendance, benefits, payroll, and employee appraisals
  • Create sales reports and assist with quarterly and annual reviews
  • Onboard and train new employees, assisting with sales targets, scheduling trainings, and conducting reviews and appraisals
  • Assisting with office budgets, accounts payable, monitor and sign off on expenses, report weekly office sales, and manage contractor timesheets
  • Collaborate with marketing team to help coordinate company events

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong technical background, including proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with budgets, sales targets, and forecasting
  • Must have strong communication skills and be comfortable presenting to a group
  • Ideal candidate will be a strong leader who can motivate and inspire others
  • Sales/recruitment experience would be beneficial
  • Experience with Bullhorn and Cube19 is beneficial

Alastair Wallace

Bio: Alastair studied architecture at the University of Manchester and the University of Hong Kong. He then spent ten years working for award-winning architecture firms based in the UK. Looking for a change, in November of 2016 he moved to New York and joined our busy architecture team, recruiting for top firms such as SOM, FXCollaborative, Grimshaw and Deborah Berke Partners. Alastair now leads the Bespoke Careers New York office, coordinating the architecture, interiors and business support teams.
