Senior Landscape Designer/Architect

One of the world’s most prestigious architecture firms is seeking a Senior Landscape Designer/Architect to join their NYC office and work on very high-profile projects in NYC and around the globe.


Responsibilities:

Manage the landscape team at the NYC office. Work closely with the Partners and global leadership to drive the vision for the firm’s landscape design direction. Lead coordination with client and consultants. Responsible for design and technical production of landscape projects of varying scales. Prepare, develop and oversee the production of drawings and models as they relate to the project. Work across a number of typologies including but not limited to Urban Design, Civic Spaces, Gardens, Infrastructure.

  Skills and experience:
 

A professional degree in landscape architecture is required. NYS Landscape licensure is a big plus but not a requirement. 8+ years of experience as a Landscape Architect including client management and project coordination. Strong conceptual and design skills. Experience creating and participating in client presentations Strong knowledge of technical detailing, spec writing, contract documents, and construction administration. Experience with grading design, planting design, natural systems, material selection and other technical aspects of landscape architecture. Advanced proficiency in Rhino, as well as AutoCAD, V-Ray, Adobe Suite (Revit is a plus). Excellent communication skills (written and oral) are required. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while keeping project on budget. A high degree of self-motivation, flexibility and resourcefulness.
