About this role
An award-winning, interdisciplinary design studio dedicated to placemaking within the urban built environment is seeking a Senior Interior Architect with a technical skillset to fill a leadership role and collaborate with the project team. the right candidate would be responsible for project management and production as required throughout all phases of design. In addition to a strong technical skillset, the successful candidate will be passionate about design and bring a broad range of NYC experience. Role and Responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of interior architectural design details
- Knowledge of applicable local codes
- Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with consultants, clients, and contractors especially including construction administration experience and the ability to coordinate with all trades and consultants in the field
- Ability to multi-task and manage various projects simultaneously
- Ability to manage schedules and meet deadlines
- Desire and ability to work in an exciting and rigorous studio environment
- 8 to 12+ years professional experience
- Professional architectural degree from an accredited institution
- Experience in wide range of projects including high-end commercial, multifamily, hospitality
- Strong Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite; proficiency in Sketchup, Enscape not required but a plus
- Experience and comfort level in taking a leadership role on projects from initial concept through construction administration
- Experience and ability to coordinate and produce construction documents while maintaining and improving the accuracy of a BIM model is a plus
