Chicago Architecture Biennial returns for its sixth edition, titled Shift: Architecture in Times of Radical Change. Led by artistic director Florencia Rodriguez, the biennial considers architecture’s role in pressing global challenges including material production, collective housing, migration and urban ecologies. The hub exhibition opens at the historic Chicago Cultural Center in downtown Chicago with satellite exhibitions, publications, films, podcasts and events dispersed throughout the city. Over previous editions the biennial has presented work by more than four hundred international architects, designers and artists. The 2025 edition continues the citywide constellation model and remains free and open to the public.
