We are looking to hire an experienced Operations Manager to support the Managing Director and a team of busy recruitment consultants. Located in the heart of Flinders Lane, Bespoke Careers is a fun, dynamic business looking for someone who is organised, switched on and who brings energy and tonnes of personality to their work every day.

Key responsibilities

  • Office management duties including ensuring that OH&S standards are met
  • Create presentations & conducting weekly meetings
  • Sales analysis and reporting
  • Answer queries from consultants
  • Be a positive leader, communicate company strategy and goals
  • Work with the marketing team to increase ROI on events
  • Contribute to marketing efforts and planning of internal and external company events
  • Helping attract and retain the best talent
  • Ensure company processes are followed and carried out as efficiently as possible
  • Promote and ensure best practice
  • Coordinate training for consultants and managing the induction program
  • Coordinate monthly & quarterly appraisal and review program
  • Performance management of consultants and administrators

Skills and experience

  • Must be commercially aware
  • Experienced with sales targets and forecasting
  • Excellent customer service skills able to deal with customer queries
  • Strong problem solving, project management, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communications skills capable of presenting to a group of people
  • Good influencing skills
  • Sales experience, ideally with recruitment but retail or other sales would also be considered
  • Prior performance management experience
  • Tech savvy with advanced Excel and PowerPoint. Adobe Creative Suite an advantage
  • Experience in Bullhorn and Cube19 is an advantage but not essential
  • A background or interest in architecture and design would be beneficial

Before joining Bespoke Careers in 2018, Carilyn gained nearly 15 years’ experience in managing events and driving growth through strategic sales and marketing. Originally from Singapore, she has called Melbourne home for the last 13 years. Carilyn is passionate about finding the calm amongst the chaos; analysing and providing solution management for both people and situations. She is always out for a good deal and believes that by listening, going the extra mile to support her team and clients, as well as having a hands-on approach, it will be reflected in sustainable results.
