About this role

Boutique, design-oriented development management firm is looking to hire an experienced Project Manager. You will take responsibility for multiple aspects of land development projects with a strong focus on the successful entitlement of medium-to-large scale commercial developments. You will also assist with acquisition, land development planning, design, budgeting, contracts, stakeholder engagement, permit and discretionary approvals, pre-construction coordination, project management and regulatory approvals. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation, submission and approval of entitlements for large-scale commercial developments
  • Interface with city officials and other regulatory/government agencies
  • Obtain proposals and negotiate contracts with relevant legal, land-use, engineering, architecture and design consultants
  • Maintain knowledge of all conditions of approval, development agreement and specific plan requirements for the projects
  • Analyze site data and due diligence to effectively anticipate and resolve potential obstacles or issues that may arise in land development process
  • Meet with code officials and assist the design team in permitting high-profile projects 

Skills an Experience

  • Degree in Construction, Architecture, Real Estate or related industry
  • 5+ years of directly related development and/or project management experience
  • Requires previous experience successfully entitling large-scale commercial developments, preferably for the City of Santa Monica, City of Beverly Hills, City of West Hollywood, or City of Los Angeles
  • Excellent track record of community outreach and relationship building with all key stakeholders
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies and public utilities
  • Strong professional written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organizational structure
  • Must be highly organized and self-motivated
