About this role

This role will encompass design leadership, business development, client management, team leadership and collaboration.   Local experience and network within Australia (and particularly Sydney) highly valued. Package commensurate with experience.

Skills and experience

  • Min of 10 years experience gained in well regarded studios
  • A reputation as a great leader
  • Demonstrated ability to lead design
  • Ability to bring ideas and promote them to the Board of Directors
  • Ability to manage staff for high productivity and morale
  • Mentor staff in career and team based activities
  • Achieve profit results on major strategic projects
  • Be pro-active in business development activities
  • Have a high customer service focus
  • High level written and verbal communication skills
  • Commercial acumen
  • Relationships within NSW Dept of Planning
  • Relationships with Urban Growth
  • Other approval authorities like SOPA
  • A client network of major developers
  • Experience working on UD projects/studies for local government, Councils
  • Experience in Visual Assessments, Public Domain and Placemaking
  • Have other interests and a balanced life style
