About this role

Our client is an award-winning, highly respected architecture practice with offices across Australia. This multi-disciplinary firm has designed some of Australia’s most iconic buildings and are leaders in beautiful, cutting-edge design. They are looking for an experienced, pro-active Submissions Manager to coordinate and manage the organisation’s business development activities. The successful Submissions Manager will have industry experience and proven talent in managing pitches, award submissions, presentations, communications, media content and events. Join a creative, welcoming team and showcase your advanced writing, communication and planning skills in a very hands-on role!

Key Responsibilities

  • Seek out tender and new business opportunities
  • Manage and oversee the effective and efficient production of outstanding submissions
  • Head up the Marketing Team (a Bid Coordinator and a Graphic Designer)
  • Devise and implement communications strategies
  • Organise a range of events to promote the practice
  • Report on and track BD activities
  • Maintain the knowledge library and CRM system
  • Attend networking events
  • Manage various stakeholders
  • Support the Directors

Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Minimum of 5+ years in a communications, marketing or submissions role
  • Experience within the architecture or construction industry preferred (in a similar role or a project-related capacity)
  • High proficiency in InDesign and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Outstanding writing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and competency in building rapport
  • Proactive approach with leadership capability
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
  • Interest in a long term career in submission/ proposals/ bid management in the design industry
