An ideal opportunity to join a mid-size, international design practice which provides leading architecture, interiors, master planning, renovation, and workplace strategy services. This firm appreciates design as a process of discovery with a highly collaborative and technical approach. Their small, but growing studio in Los Angeles is looking for a dynamic, resourceful, self-motivated, design professional. 

Responsibilities

  • Ability to lead smaller projects independently as well as collaborate on larger-scale projects as part of a team.
  • Work on projects in varying stages of architectural services from schematic design through construction documentation and construction administration.
  • Develop and present initial design concepts - keeping in mind building systems, sustainability requirements, accessibility and code compliance for unique solutions tailored to clients' vision and project requirements.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture required
  • 5-10 years of experience working in an architectural firm
  • Experience in highly complex project types, large commercial office, mixed-use, civic, academic, and/or cultural projects are preferred.
  • Design and documentation using Revit is required. Experience with AutoCAD, Rhino, Grasshopper, and SketchUp is desired.
  • Proactive attitude with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.

Bio: Lily joined Bespoke Careers in July 2018 as a consultant on the architecture team after working in the landscape architecture profession for five years. She worked in a range of landscape firms, including Melendrez (now RELM), Pamela Burton & Co., and Christine London Ltd. Lily studied Art:Semiotics at Brown University in Rhode Island, and then moved back to Southern California to get her Masters of Landscape Architecture at the University of Southern California (USC). She is also the Mentoring Director of the Association for Women in Architecture + Design (AWA+D) in Los Angeles.
