A successful and thriving Interior Design and Architecture practice are seeking a proactive Office Manager/ Marketing assistant to join their busy team.

About this role

As the Office Manager you will be the front line of contact as well as being responsible for the day-to-day functions of the office and designers including all general reception duties as well as providing executive assistant support to the Directors and associates with marketing events, as well as coordinating diaries, travel and inter-office meetings.  You will also have regular interaction with the Melbourne-based office administrators and accounts and be involved in the preparation of marketing materials, project presentation reports and submission documents, liaison with external providers for IT and design products and management of petty cash.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as the focal point for the broader team of designers
  • General office and administration duties
  • Maintaining office, including stationery, staff amenities, kitchen supplies and general requirements, mail and couriers
  • Regular interaction with key suppliers and business partners
  • Staff travel arrangements
  • Organise professional development sessions and marketing events
  • Organise internal functions and industry events for staff ie. WIDAC, NAWIC etc
  • Manage media subscriptions and payments
  • Manage photo library subscriptions and payments
  • Secondary IT support including system back-ups
  • Website maintenance & restructure
  • Assist in the development and implementation of digital marketing strategies

Skills and experience

  • Previous experience in graphic design and desktop publishing will be highly regarded
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and the latest software packages such as Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • Design competitions

  • Well-presented and highly organised
  • Good team player
