About this role



An Industry leading Hospitality Design Studio is looking for experienced NYC environmental Graphic designers to support a pivotal cultural project over the next few months. This position is a contract role with the length of time to be determined as the project progresses. This role will be a chance to develop environmental graphic design concepts to completion for a high-profile client in the cultural sector. If you have wayfinding experience and a proven design background at this level this opportunity is for you.


Skills and Requirements

BA or MA Degree in Graphic Design is required

8+ years experience in a Design Studio environment

Expert knowledge of Adobe Suite – specifically Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign

Strong knowledge and understanding of Environmental Signage/Graphics, Wayfinding Design, Visual Identities and Branded Environments are a must

Must be based in NYC

Experience with cultural and public space projects a big plus

Knowledge of ABA standards also very welcome

Experience working on large scale projects

Understanding of the built environment and how your design scales to the space

Graphic animation is highly welcome in addition to the traditional Adobe Suite platform.

Able to work on contract at the pace of the project and studio needs
