About this role

This trendy design practice specialises in the delivery of national and international luxury hotel projects. The studio boasts an enviable location in Melbourne’s CBD, housing a mid-sized team of friendly Architects and Interior Designers. The team is seeking a proactive Finance Assistant / Administrator with industry-experience to take charge of accounts and provide general office support. The successful Administrator will be an all-rounder with related Finance qualifications, industry-experience and a personable, efficient approach. Initially a 2-3 month contract position, showcase your skills and gain further experience in a creative and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process transactions, including accounts payable, expenses, credit cards, monthly invoicing and bi-monthly payroll
  • Prepare taxation compliance reporting and process related payments, including superannuation, payroll tax and monthly BAS
  • Provide general office support

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related discipline
  • Minimum 2+ years experience in a similar role within the design industry
  • Proficiency in Xero
  • Experience in Accounts: payroll, payroll tax, monthly BAS, accounts payable and bank reconciliations
  • Experience in providing office support
  • Effective time management skills
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
  • Bright approach and a willingness to assist with a range of tasks
