About this role

This small practice located in the inner-eastern suburbs is focused primarily on high-end residential projects, as well as design and construct projects due to strong relationships with builders. The studio space is shared with another design firm and has a great collaborative studio vibe. Having grown organically over the last five years, the group is looking to welcome an experienced Project Architect to run jobs, and provide guidance and assistance to other team members with their projects. The successful Architect will be able to design and document their own projects and have solid ArchiCAD proficiency, as well as an enthusiastic and creative approach. Own and lead great projects alongside a wonderful team!

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead high-end residential projects
  • Deliver projects on time and on budget
  • Respond to complex issues with innovative solutions
  • Build key relationships
  • Manage clients, consultants, technical specialists and team members
  • Guide, mentor and develop junior team members
  • Work in a hands-on capacity, including contributing ArchiCAD technical output
  • Ensure the overall cost, quality, safety and communication management for the highest quality project outcomes

Skills & Experience

  • Masters Degree in Architecture
  • Current ARBV Registration
  • Minimum of 7+ years post-grad experience, including high-end residential projects
  • Proficiency in ArchiCAD
  • Demonstrated extensive documentation and detailing skills
  • Commercial acumen
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a team
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
  • Aptitude to lead and inspire others
  • Strong eye for detail and design 
  • Motivated outlook
