About this role

This north of the city-based company specialises in bespoke carpentry, joinery and cabinetry, metal working, automation, casting and plastic fabrication. Their client range is diverse and includes some big names in theatres, retailers, museums and galleries. An opportunity has arisen for a specialist Joinery Draftsperson to join the team and focus on joinery level shop drawings for construction. The successful Documenter will have an Interiors or Product Design background, exceptional AutoCAD proficiency and an understanding of joinery constructability with bespoke products. Initially a 5 to 6 month contract is on offer, with potential to extend. Add significant projects to your resume alongside an eclectic and diverse team.

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Interior Design, Product Design or Drafting
  • Advanced AutoCAD 2D proficiency
  • Outstanding detailing and documentation skills
  • Understanding of joinery constructability, particularly for bespoke products
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
  • Motivated and positive outlook
