This revered and established commercial construction company specialises in health, education and commercial projects across Australia. They continue to enjoy ongoing success, due to their strong client base, diverse-sector approach and commitment to quality. An opportunity has arisen for a skilled Construction Planner to join the Melbourne team and assist in the management of project programmes at EOI, tender, and delivery phases for design and construct and construct only projects. The successful Planner will be qualified in a related discipline and have experience in a similar role in the commercial or industrial construction industry. Report directly to the State Manager and show your skills with a group that has been rated as one of Australia’s top 100 private companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and programming for tender submissions
  • Prepare tender programs and assess tenders prepared by external parties
  • Ensure that project documents and plans meet all requirements and related risks and opportunities are identified
  • Support the project delivery team across program management and reporting, disputes and claims
  • Prepare reports for state management and provide advice on any variances

Skills & Experience

  • Degree or Diploma in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 3+ years construction planning experience with a Tier 2 Builder on projects $1Mil-$200Mil+
  • Proficiency in Advanced Microsoft Office suite, Aconex and Microsoft Project or similar planning software
  • Experience with end to end project delivery across planning and programming
  • Knowledge of market rates across consultants and subcontractors
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage clients, consultants and subcontractors
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Valid Australian drivers licence
