This cross-disciplinary design practice specialises in holistic hospitality, retail and workplace projects across Australia. An opportunity has arisen for a talented Senior Interior Designer to join this tight-knit team in a key 2IC position. The Designer will be involved in the complete spectrum through all stages on various projects, and manage a team of designers. The successful 2IC will have a positive approach, a passion for all creative forms, and the ability to lead and bring a wide perspective to the design process. Freehand sketching skills and technical capabilities are also a must and will be articulated through a beautifully-curated portfolio. Key Responsibilities

  • Work across all aspects of the design process
  • Work closely with the Principal and Studio Director
  • Articulate and deliver creative concepts
  • Develop comprehensive construction document packages
  • Lead and mentor a team of designers
  • Manage clients, consultants and team members

Skills & Experience

  • Degree qualification in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or Architecture
  • Minimum of 7 years post grad experience, ideally within the high-end hospitality or retail/ branded environments sectors
  • Experience in leading projects from concept to completion
  • High proficiency in Vectorworks/and or Revit
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, InDesign, 3D Vectorworks & Sketchup (preferred)
  • Strong technical knowledge and documentation/ detailing skills
  • Exceptional free-hand sketching aptitude
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team
  • Proactive approach, with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills
