About this role

This role will encompass design leadership, client management, team leadership and collaboration. Working within a broader leadership group you will continue to build on this studios reputation as industry leaders in health design.

Key responsibilities

  • Whole or part responsibility of clinical planning in a leadership role
  • User group leadership alongside development of clinical planning, applicable to a range of departments
  • Effectively manage and coordinate a small internal team as well as external groups
  • Liaise with clients and represent the studio at meetings and presentations
  • Encourage and develop your team’s skills to encourage professional growth
  • Collaborate and work closely with our leadership group to develop projects
  • Manage staff for high productivity and morale
  • Work closely with Principals on the successful winning and delivery of projects
  • Develop the skills of others within your team
  • Work closely with clients and stakeholder groups

Skills and experience

  • Proven experience in leading complex, large scale health care projects, in whole or in part, or making a significant contribution in a 2IC capacity
  • Experience running user group meetings and leading clinical planning from the early phases of projects through to design development
  • Proven knowledge of the total project process including fee and team management, schedules and budgets
  • Ability to effectively manage and coordinate a small internal team as well as external groups
  • A positive, innovative, capable and dynamic approach to problem solving
  • Strong communication skills, particularly written and verbal
  • A concise understanding and mindfulness of core design intent philosophies throughout all project phases
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with Design Principals
  • Strong leadership, management and mentoring skills – a desire to mentor team members, offer guidance and leadership
  • Knowledge of the total project process including fee and team management, schedules and budgets
  • Working knowledge of revit would be well regarded
  • Have other interests and a balanced life style

She has used her extensive knowledge to advise and assist leading firms in Sydney on their recruitment requirements. Misty has recruited architects and designers at all levels but is now responsible for helping practices with strategic appointments at senior level.
