About this role


This multidisciplinary design firm work across architecture, planning, interiors and urban design and have designed some of Australia’s most iconic buildings.  In this newly created role, you will partner with the business to understand, manage and coordinate all legal issues and produce workable solutions.   Main areas of responsibility will include, but won’t be limited to, industrial relations, design contracts, settlement deeds, insurance and quality assurance.

Note: this role can be based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on all day to day legal aspects
  • Compliance and corporate governance
  • Coach and educate the business and its leaders
  • Quality Assurance
  • Manage risk and compliance
  • Liaise internally and externally with stakeholders
  • Set up and manage the correct frameworks to ensure the firm is in the best legal position
  • Advise on any governance matters
  • Manage the board meeting process including minute taking, distribution and storage of board papers.
  • Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor of Law
  • Current Unrestricted Legal Practicing Certificate
  • Several years’ experience in commercial Law
  • Understanding on In-house legal procedures
  • Commercial acumen and ability to identify and mitigate risk
  • Experience in areas including commercial law, contracts, IP, business operations and corporate governance
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High-level decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously
