About this role

This very friendly and highly respected architect practice that design across: education, arts and cultural, recreation, community and local government projects. They are seeking an all-round holistic Interior Designer to join their team. This role would suit an Architect with a passion for interiors, or an Interior Architect with a technical flair who appreciates how things go together. Based within the city fringe in a cool warehouse style studio this is wonderful opportunity to see all projects from concept through to completion holistically.  ArchiCAD is preferred but not essential.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Work in a studio environment under an Associate interior designer and project architects
  • Work through complete life cycle of a project from initial design briefing and review, all the way through to onsite construction to completion
  • Document projects in ArchiCAD
  • Collaborate with the team throughout the design process and work autonomously on projects

Skills & Experience

  • Relevant degree qualification
  • 8+ years' experience as an all-round interior designer with a strength in construction knowledge
  • Client facing and presenting skills
  • Conceptual design
  • Excellent documentation skills preferably in ArchiCAD, designers with Revit will be considered
  • Strong graphic skills/ visualisation skills using your preferred software.  This may include: InDesign, Photoshop, Rhino, SketchUp, Vray etc...
  • Have a strong creative streak and an eagerness to work through detailed projects
  • Must have experience working on public and or government projects
