With an innovative sales approach, the group differentiates themselves from competitors through creative marketing and a superior user experience An exciting opportunity has emerged for a retail Sales Consultant to work across all aspects of the design process, from the initial client liaison through to final product specification and ordering. You will be assigned a client base, along with general retail sales, and to drive the quality and quantity of product specifications. The successful Sales Consultant will assist and identify industry trends and participate in constructive market/product analysis at sales meetings as required. This role is pivotal to fostering close industry and personal relationships, business leads and continued sales growth. Join a progressive market front-runner, and watch your career soar! 

Key responsibilities:

  • Generate sales in all areas of the retail market and refer leads where appropriate to other team members
  • Responsible for all walk-in style enquiries and new clients within assigned area
  • Provide forecast and weekly sales activity  
  • Contribute to market/product analysis as well as product competition in all areas of the market
  • Foster and promote the collection of products within the showroom and around the industry
  • Assist clients with finishes selections on products
  • Maintain client contact on a social interpersonal level supported by the company
  • Represent the company at trade and social events when required
  • Seek and develop new client contacts
  • Maintain product knowledge as required to offer up-to-the-minute design solutions to specific client requirements
  • Attend sales and product training as required
  • Develop one's own knowledge of style and design occurring in the industry
  • Maintain a clean and tidy showroom presentation including product displays and window treatments. Maintain clean and current product samples  

Skills & experience

  • A degree or diploma in a design related field is preferable
  • Strong retail sales experience
  • Switched on and ability to multi-task
  • Bubbly, enthusiastic personality, someone who enjoys being part of a strong team
