About this role


Lead projects from schematic design through construction administration. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established firm in Downtown LA and work on their roster of Higher Education projects with a strong team behind you. You will be responsible for leading and directing project teams and communicating with the Client, stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and government authorities that have jurisdiction over the project. 

Key responsibilities

  • Lead building/system concepts from SD through to CA
  • Oversee team members
  • Prepare project status reports
  • Code research documentation
  • Attend project meetings and coordinate with other team leaders
  • Ensure all projects are meeting the firm's quality standards

Skills and experience

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture or Engineering required
  • LEED Accredited preferred
  • Professional Licensure preferred
  • Candidates with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience managing Higher Education projects preferred
  • Excellent communication skills necessary
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint, as well as Adobe Acrobat and Bluebeam
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Deltek Vision preferred
  • Ability to motivate and mentor staff and give assignments as necessary
  • Detail-oriented and enthusiastic
  • Flexible and able to work under tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of local building codes and governing agency processes

Bio: Lily joined Bespoke Careers in July 2018 as a consultant on the architecture team after working in the landscape architecture profession for five years. She worked in a range of landscape firms, including Melendrez (now RELM), Pamela Burton & Co., and Christine London Ltd. Lily studied Art:Semiotics at Brown University in Rhode Island, and then moved back to Southern California to get her Masters of Landscape Architecture at the University of Southern California (USC). She is also the Mentoring Director of the Association for Women in Architecture + Design (AWA+D) in Los Angeles.
