This company has an ever-evolving broad product selection, flat organisation and the opportunity for career growth. We are looking for someone with a background in interior or product design with established relationships across the design community in Melbourne. The aim of the Sales Consultant is to generate sales from an allocated client base with the support of other sales team members in a stimulating and supportive environment. This key person will drive the quality and quantity of product specifications across the market, assist to identify industry trends, be pivotal in building relationships, business leads and sales growth on a continuing basis.Key responsibilities:

  • Foster and promote the brand and product collection in the Australian market with a view to developing recognition and sales generation
  • Generate sales in all areas of the contract commercial architectural and specifier market in accordance with a performance-based sales target
  • Schedule and conduct product presentations with the A&D community on a regular basis
  • Organize a rotational system of product sample loans to your allocated client base
  • Customer liaison, communication, and support up to final order placement and confirmation of final details
  • Support and facilitate potential specifications in other global markets where potential exists, in collaboration with colleagues  

Skills & experience

  • Previous B2B experience selling an interior product to the specifier market
  • Existing network  
  • Self-motivated and self-directed working within a team environment
  • Task and project orientated
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the workings of the A&D specifier community and end-user market with the ability to assess, access and develop client relations with a view to sales generation
  • Vast commercial product knowledge would be an advantage
  • A knowledge of interior design processes from specification through to project completion

Having a passion for Scandinavian design Johanna has worked with many of the product suppliers and manufacturers in Melbourne, helping to recruit salespeople, business developers, marketers and support staff.
