About this role

An international signage and wayfinding studio are seeking a Senior Wayfinding Designer to join their Sydney team. You will work closely with the design and planning teams to develop holistic wayfinding strategies, including reports, schedules and placement plans. You will also assist with research, graphics, and environmental design. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct project and user research, and analyse data
  • Undertake audits of existing signage schemes and document data
  • Create strategy and design documentation
  • Support creation of detailed signage schedules and placement plans
  • Work closely with multiple design teams to coordinate wayfinding strategy and design
  • Develop graphic elements, colour schemes, typography, maps and pictograms
  • Design report templates
  • Write reports and tender submissions
  • Network and engage with the industry


Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in design, planning or similar discipline
  • Experience working with designers, architects and urban planners
  • Experience in managing small to mid-scale projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised with attention to detail
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and drawings
  • Proficient in CAD, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Microsoft Office
