About this role

A celebrated commercial design firm with a broad client base is looking for an agile project manager to handle mid-size to large commercial and workplace projects. This opportunity will allow you to join a highly creative, collaborative team while working on innovative architectural projects across a variety of industries. You will be managing all phases of interior projects and have overall project responsibility for client satisfaction, quality control and financial performance. We need your knowledge of architectural and interiors principles and modern design methods to solve construction problems and see concepts realized on-time and on-budget. Use your strong technical knowledge, knowledge of products, and familiarity with project phasing and budgets to successfully deliver a polished finished product. 


Your Day to Day:

  • Take authority over one or more projects at a time; estimating, bidding, project kick-off, weekly coordination, punch list, turnover, opening, project close-out, post-occupancy satisfaction

  • Track and manage financial performance of project for success (e.g., team hour tracking, work plan, schedule, fees, change orders, billings and collections)

  • Deploy resources to ensure that the design process flows smoothly, acting as the primary liaison between the team and the client to bring the design, schedule, budget and scope of work to completion.

  • Collaborate in a tight-knit studio of 10-20 people within a larger office


What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or Interior Design

  • 10+ years of related project management experience

  • A Professional license or certification preferred
  • Technical understanding of Interior design, furniture design, and architectural detailing, MEP and structural engineering as well as all vendor contracts coordination.

  • Experience with project management software - MS Project or similar

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit

  • LEED accreditation or willingness to study
