This market leader in the Australian commercial furniture industry is an exclusive supplier to leading workplace and loose furniture manufacturers. With an passionate team, the group differentiates themselves from competitors by providing international quality design that is manufactured locally. An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Sales Support to work across all aspects of the design process, from the initial client liaison through to final product specification and ordering. The successful Sales Support will assist and identify industry trends and participate in constructive market/product analysis, as well as having a strong client focus and customer service attitude. This role is pivotal to fostering close industry and personal relationships, business leads and continued sales growth. Key responsibilities:

  • Generate sales in all areas of the retail markets, send quotes and evaluate tender documents
  • Arrange shop drawings for projects and sign off
  • Place orders, follow deliveries and get sign off
  • Responsible for office administration/showroom management
  • Provide forecast and weekly sales activity  
  • Foster and promote the collection of products within the showroom and around the industry
  • Assist clients with finishes selections on products
  • Represent the company at trade and social events when required
  • Seek and develop new client contacts
  • Maintain product knowledge as required to offer up-to-the-minute design solutions to specific client requirements
  • Attend sales and product training as required
  • Develop one's own knowledge of style and design occurring in the industry
  • Help sales team make budget

 

Skills & experience

  • A degree or diploma in a design related field is preferable
  • Adobe software skills to assist with brochure design and presentation preferable
  • Strong retail sales experience
  • Switched on and ability to multi-task
  • Bubbly, enthusiastic personality, someone who enjoys being part of a strong team

Having a passion for Scandinavian design Johanna has worked with many of the product suppliers and manufacturers in Melbourne, helping to recruit salespeople, business developers, marketers and support staff.
