About this role

This well-renowned, high-end private residential practice is located just south of the CBD. These guys are the business – they reflect the reason why we all studied architecture in the first place...  progressive brief responses, creative approach, design-driven projects and a collaborative and social office culture. A rare opportunity has come about for a Mid-Senior Architect to come aboard and contribute to exciting residential projects. The successful Architect will be experienced in the residential sector and have a strong design sense that aligns well with that of the practice. Hands-on ArchiCAD skills and an aptitude in managing clients well are also imperative. Be welcomed into a studio with a pipeline of projects and unconstrained opportunity for creativity!

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead/assist high-end residential projects
  • Deliver projects on time and on budget
  • Respond to complex issues with innovative solutions
  • Build key relationships
  • Manage clients, consultants, technical specialists and team members
  • Work in a hands-on capacity, including contributing ArchiCAD technical output
  • Ensure the overall cost, quality, safety and communication management for the highest quality project outcomes

Skills & Experience

  • Masters Degree in Architecture
  • Current ARBV Registration
  • Minimum of 5+ years post-grad experience, including high-end residential schemes
  • Exceptional ArchiCAD proficiency
  • Demonstrated documentation and detailing skills
  • Strong eye for detail and design 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong client-facing presence and the ability to engage with a team
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively

Bio: Jenna gained her Bachelor of Interior Architecture and Design at Nottingham Trent University and worked as a senior designer on retail, commercial and mixed-use projects for six years. In late 2016 she made the move to Australia to help establish the practice on the ground in Melbourne undertaking a business development role, familiarising herself with local developers, architectural practices and the Australian architecture & design landscape. Jenna has an expansive understanding of the industry domestically and abroad - she joined Bespoke Careers in 2017 on the architecture team.
