About this role

Creative and collaborative company with a DIY mindset in East Los Angeles seeks a multi-talented individual who can support their Principal, coordinate the flow of information between team members, and keep things on track. You'll be taking notes, making sure people are keeping up with milestones for action items, and have a macro-view of everything going on.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Help manage projects by taking meeting notes, and provide follow-up to ensure action items are followed through
  • Provide a smooth line of communication between the Owner, Principals, and staff members
  • Keep Principals and staff updated about progress of projects towards milestones, as well as potentially conflicts down the road
  • Support the Owner and Principal by managing calendar, emails and calls, and other requests
  • Organize notes and drawings produced by the Owner
  • Run errands for the Owner as needed

Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in architecture, construction, or fabrication
  • Previous experience as an Executive Assistant in the AEC industry preferred, but not required
  • Excellent organization and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Microsoft Office, iCal and Apple Mail
  • Great interpersonal skills - you're a team player who can collaborate with staff, and provide the best service to clients and business partners
  • Flexibility with doing what needs to be done - sometimes you will have to do personal errands for the Owner
  • Interpolate what needs to be done and do it

She worked in a range of landscape firms, including Melendrez (now RELM), Pamela Burton & Co., and Christine London Ltd. Lily studied Art:Semiotics at Brown University in Rhode Island, and then moved back to Southern California to get her Masters of Landscape Architecture at the University of Southern California (USC). She is also the Mentoring Director of the Association for Women in Architecture + Design (AWA+D) in Los Angeles.
