About this role

This small practice located in the inner-eastern suburbs is focused primarily on high-end residential projects, as well as design and construct projects due to strong relationships with builders. The studio space is shared with another design firm and has a great collaborative studio vibe. Having grown organically over the last five years, the group is looking to welcome an experienced Graduate or Architect to run jobs, and provide guidance and assistance to other team members with their projects. The successful Architect will be able to design and document their own projects and have solid ArchiCAD proficiency, as well as an enthusiastic and creative approach. Own and lead great projects alongside a wonderful team!

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead high-end residential projects
  • Deliver projects on time and on budget
  • Respond to complex issues with innovative solutions
  • Build key relationships
  • Manage clients, consultants, technical specialists and team members
  • Work in a hands-on capacity, including contributing ArchiCAD technical output
  • Ensure the overall cost, quality, safety and communication management for the highest quality project outcomes

Skills & Experience

  • Masters Degree in Architecture
  • Current ARBV Registration is a preference
  • Minimum of 5+ years post-grad experience, including high-end residential projects
  • High proficiency in ArchiCAD
  • Demonstrated extensive documentation and detailing skills
  • Commercial acumen
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a team
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
  • Aptitude to lead and inspire others
  • Strong eye for detail and design 
  • Motivated outlook

Bio: Having obtained a Masters in architecture at the University of Melbourne and working in practice at Peddle Thorp Architects for over five years, Bianca has extensive knowledge of both architecture and the local market in Melbourne. Looking for a change but wanting to continue utilising her expertise, she joined Bespoke Careers in 2013, initially recruiting and resourcing within the architecture team. Bianca spent some time working in our London office in 2018 recruiting for interior designers and urban/landscape architects gaining a global approach. She is now a Principal in the Melbourne office managing permanent architecture positions.
