Senior Construction Manager - Large Scale Mixed-Use
Developer seeks Senior Construction Manager to join and shape their Southern California team, starting with a large-scale Transit Oriented Development (TOD) project in San Diego.
About this role
A developer with a excellent portfolio of projects is looking for a Senior Construction Manager to act as the Owner's Rep and build up their construction team for a large, TOD project near San Diego. There is a potential for this role to expand into a Construction Management leadership role for the broader Southern California market.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee Construction Managers
- Manage the budget and schedule of ongoing contractor's work
- Keep ownership up-to-date with construction status
- Prepare cost estimates
- Review working drawings
- Set up change order procedures and payments to contractors
- Ensure that the project comes in on time, on budget, and per the requirements of the owner and/or lender
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience managing large-scale, high-profile projects required
- 10+ years of experience with a General Contractor or Construction-related experience
- 5+ years of experience in Management
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Construction Science, Engineering, Architecture, or related field from an accredited institution
Salary is flexible and commensurate with experience
