About this role


This Australian-owned business showcases innovative and on-trend designer furniture. They have offices and showrooms throughout Australia, and their products are also distributed throughout New Zealand and the USA. At the forefront of design, this growing business is in need of a Outlet Retail Manager who will be responsible for the sales and customer service of both general public and their design professionals. From assisting with visual merchandising, product selection to customer sales support and day-to-day management of the outlet staff, you will ensure a friendly and efficient sales process. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Outlet/client service management through great customer experience and in-depth product knowledge
  • Visual merchandising/stock maintenance through excellent product selection
  • Ensuring outlet and front entrance display is updated monthly in line with design aesthetics
  • Coordination with warehouse for product selection 
  • Pricing of selected stock in line with COGS, margins and revenue generation
  • Achieve sales growth in conjunction with National Sales Manager and alongside retail sales team
  • Coordinate with Marketing & Product Team for all outlet-based marketing campaigns and social media engagement
  • Leadership of retail sales team and strategic implementation towards building the outlet team
  • Coaching, mentoring and empowering team towards KPIs and business objectives
  • Compliance with Work Health Safety legislation

 

Skills and Experience

  • Diploma or Certificate of Interior Decoration and Design
  • Previous experience in managing a retail team
  • Well presented
  • Previous experience in retail sales within the furniture, lighting or kitchen/bathroom industries preferred 
  • Methodical and organised with excellent time management skills
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Furniture products and technical knowledge advantageous
  • Previous experience in merchandising preferred
  • Must be able to work on weekend day
