About this role

This innovative, national practice works across a variety of sectors in the Australian market, but currently has a major focus on workplace and commercial projects. The small team in Melbourne and their counterparts in other capital cities and NZ have a strategic approach to creating high-quality design and environmentally-considered solutions. A talented team, this bunch of respectful designers value integrity but also love to LAUGH. Currently they are splitting time between the studio and WFH, using the studio times for more collaborative activities, and attacking more focused-tasks at home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Studio Director with day-to-day administrative duties.
  • Manage the communications of the studio, meet and greet, reception and front of house,
  • Record, register and manage the CPD development process.
  • Assist with end of month financials including invoice preparations and client management.
  • General ordering of supplies and business accounts 
  • Flight bookings and managing the studio Director’s diary and phone calls that are diverted.
  • Manage supplier and supplier events 

Skills and Experience

  • High level administration and organisational skills
  • Experience in the architecture and design industry preferred but not essential 
  • Outstanding communication skills, good delegator and proactive resourcer  
  • Tech savvy with the ability to do minor trouble shooting, networking and remote setup
  • Ability to build team morale at all levels

Bio: Johanna is from Sweden and studied business in Stockholm before working in the retail and fashion industry. Johanna moved to Melbourne and started at Bespoke Careers in 2016 as a Design Team Administrator/Talent Manager, moving into an Associate role in 2019 recruiting within the architectural and interior products team. Having a passion for Scandinavian design Johanna has worked with many of the product suppliers and manufacturers in Melbourne, helping to recruit salespeople, business developers, marketers and support staff.
