About this role

An industry leader is seeking a Deputy Director to join their Los Angeles region. The Deputy Director will work closely with the Executive Director in all aspects of the regions business, including fundraising, program management, financial administration and human resources.The Deputy Director will be charged with discovering new opportunities within the local community and establish a stronger bond to implement the regions mission. The right candidate will extend support and serve the regions members, architects, and the field they practice through advocacy, the fostering of design excellence and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Region management, ensure compliance with operational procedures
  • Identify and implement best practices
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to assess and assign responsibilities needed for ongoing projects
  • Assist in strategic planning and analysis
  • Fund development, data base and record management
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of maintaining a donor database and paper records of contributors and grants
  • Generate queries, reports, exports and any other collection data as needed
  • Research RFP's, assist with writing and reporting
  • Participate in the development and supervision of a long-range marketing plan with the Executive Director and the Director of Marketing and Communications
  • Oversee marketing relations, including: social media, print media and general branding of the organization and all its programs

  • Bachelors degree in marketing, business, communications, nonprofit management or related field
  • Minimum 5 years experience in association management
