About this role
A prestigious, internationally renowned Los Angeles-based AD100 firm is growing their New York team and seeks experienced interior, FF&E, and concept designers for their talented team. Working across private residential interiors, textiles, and furniture design, the ideal candidate will be a skilled & motivated designer looking to further their career with some of the best in the business!
Key responsibilities
- Maintain essential client, vendor and consultant relationships through outstanding service, regular communication (email, phone, and meetings), status lists and problem solving.
- Collaborate with Principal and renderer on concepts and selections.
- Introduce design components for project concept, direction and rendering.
- Attend regular off-site meetings with vendors and clients including progress checks at jobsites.
- Supervise team of 3-4 subordinate designers on the selection of all project components including furniture (custom vs. bespoke); fabrics, antiques, art, flooring, wallpaper and accessories.
- Generates creative solutions & Works well in group problem solving situations; solve design/production problems regularly for/with vendors, consultants, clients, Jr. Designer & team.
Skills and Experience:
- Degree from an accredited interior design or architecture program.
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
- Excellent communicator and ease working directly with vendors, clients, and colleagues.
- Experience managing a small team or a desire to take the next step into a management position.
- Superlative organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Studio, Studio Designer. Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite. Additional proficiencies desired.
