ABS 5KM CHICKEN RUN Saturday 23rd July 2016
Sponsorship money raised by runners taking part adds a significant and valuable contribution to the work of the ABS. Just imagine, if 200 runners were sponsored £100 each to run this race, that would raise £20,000 which the ABS could use to support those in the wider architectural profession in their time of greatest need.

The Society was set up in 1850 by leading architects to help colleagues and their dependents in times of need. Today, the charity helps architects, assistants, technologists, technicians, landscape architects and their families. The charity support people of all ages who have experienced illness, accident, redundancy, unemployment, bereavement or other personal difficulties. The support ranges from confidential advice to financial assistance.
Last year, the Society helped over 700 individuals across the UK and are pleased that over 50 beneficiaries, along with their dependents, no longer need assistance as they are managing on their own. This means the society can take on new cases and provide support where it is most needed. The ABS needs to raise money to fund the valuable support we provide to the architectural profession in times of need.
