RIBA London Awards 2026
Seventy-two shortlisted projects from across London go forward to the 2026 RIBA London Awards, spanning residential, civic and cultural building types.
Location: London (venue to be confirmed)
Date: May 2026
The RIBA London Awards 2026 ceremony will be held in May, presenting awards to the best of the 72 projects shortlisted from across London’s boroughs. Shortlisted work includes the new geological gardens at the Natural History Museum, a hospital garden pavilion designed to connect patients to nature, and the transformation of a former power station into a mixed-use development, representing a broad cross-section of scale, typology and ambition.
The London awards feed directly into the national RIBA Awards process, with winners automatically considered for a RIBA National Award. From the national pool, a shortlist for the RIBA Stirling Prize is then drawn in the autumn, making the London ceremony one of the opening stages of the most significant architecture awards cycle in the UK.
The full shortlist of 72 projects, together with jury details and assessment criteria, is published on the RIBA website. The exact ceremony date and venue will be confirmed by RIBA ahead of the May event, and tickets will be available through the RIBA events programme.
