Brisbane Open House: Professional Series 2026
The professional stream of Brisbane Open House offers architect-led technical walkthroughs of recently completed CBD towers and adaptive reuse heritage sites.
Location: Various city-wide sites, Brisbane
Date: 18 July 2026 to 19 July 2026
Brisbane Open House’s Professional Series offers a distinct programme alongside the public tours, giving architects and design professionals architect-led technical access to a curated selection of Brisbane’s recently completed buildings. The 2026 programme focuses on two contrasting categories: new CBD towers representing the current generation of commercial development, and adaptive reuse heritage sites where existing fabric has been integrated into contemporary programmes.
The walkthroughs are structured around technical content rather than public-facing interpretation, with tour leaders drawn from the design and engineering teams responsible for each building. Discussions cover structural approaches, services integration, material specification and the project management and procurement decisions that shaped each outcome.
For Queensland-based practices and those working on projects in the region, the Professional Series provides direct access to built evidence of how Brisbane’s construction industry is resolving the specific technical challenges of the city’s climate, seismicity and heritage context, in buildings that are otherwise only accessible as images and drawings.
