Birmingham Design Festival 2026
Birmingham Design Festival returns for three days of talks, exhibitions, and events celebrating design in all its forms, with over 80 speakers across multiple venues in the heart of Birmingham.

Birmingham Design Festival is one of the UK’s most vibrant celebrations of design, bringing together practitioners, thinkers, and audiences from across the country and beyond. Now in its tenth year, the 2026 edition runs across three days in June with over 80 speakers spread across multiple venues throughout the city — a programme that reflects the full breadth of contemporary design practice, from architecture and spatial design through to graphic design, product design, and the broader creative industries.
The festival has built a strong reputation for accessible, energising programming — the kind that resonates equally with senior practitioners and students just entering the field. Talks are complemented by exhibitions, workshops, and social events that make Birmingham Design Festival as much about community and connection as it is about content. For architects and interior designers working in or around the Midlands, it is one of the most rewarding dates in the annual calendar.
Birmingham itself is undergoing a significant period of architectural and urban renewal, making the city an increasingly compelling backdrop for a festival about design’s role in shaping the world around us.
