Australian Timber Design Awards 2026 Gala
The 27th Australian Timber Design Awards are presented at a gala dinner at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia in Sydney, for architects, interior designers, engineers and timber suppliers

Date: 21 October 2026, from 6pm
The Australian Timber Design Awards 2026 gala takes place on Wednesday 21 October 2026 in the Harbourside Room at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, Circular Quay, Sydney. Now in its 27th year, the programme is run by the Timber Development Association and recognises timber in Australian architecture, interiors and structural design. The room draws architects, interior designers, engineers, builders and timber suppliers from across the country.
Cocktails start at 6pm, followed by a three-course dinner with drinks, during which the 2026 winners are announced across the award categories. Dress is cocktail. The awards are supported by WoodSolutions alongside sponsors including Intergrain, Responsible Wood, Timber NSW, Planet Ark, Kennedys Timbers and Hess Timber. Tickets are sold through Ticketstripe and the evening is open to entrants and the wider industry.
For Sydney practices working in mass timber or hybrid structures, the awards offer a yearly read on which projects, and which suppliers, are setting the standard nationally. It is also one of the few evenings where architects, engineers and timber manufacturers sit at the same table.
