25th Biennale of Sydney: Rememory
A multi-venue exhibition across Sydney examining spatial politics, industrial heritage, and the reconstruction of collective memory.
Location: White Bay Power Station, Sydney
Date: 14 March 2026 to 14 June 2026
The 25th Biennale of Sydney, curated by Hoor Al Qasimi, runs from 14 March to 14 June 2026 across multiple city venues. Titled Rememory, the edition centres on spatial politics and the ways in which architecture, landscape, and cultural practice reconstruct history and contested civic identity.
The primary draw for practitioners is the White Bay Power Station in Rozelle, a heritage industrial site making its debut as a major cultural venue. Site-specific commissions at the power station interrogate the relationship between industrial legacy, adaptive reuse, and the spatial politics of urban memory.
The Biennale also occupies the Art Gallery of NSW and satellite venues across Greater Sydney. It is free and open to the public at all sites throughout the run.
