AIA New York Honors and Awards Luncheon 2026

AIA New York’s annual Honors and Awards Luncheon returns to the iconic Cipriani Wall Street on Friday 24 April 2026. The event brings together the architecture and design community to celebrate both the recipients of the chapter’s most prestigious individual honours and the 24 winning project teams of the AIANY Design Awards 2026.
This year’s honorees reflect the breadth of architecture’s impact on city life and culture. Brooklyn-based practice Alloy receives the Medal of Honor in recognition of two decades of work at the intersection of rigorous design, thoughtful development, and community stewardship. Sharon Prince, CEO and founder of Grace Farms and driving force behind the Design for Freedom movement, receives the Champion of Architecture Award. Lower East Side bookstore and cultural hub Head Hi takes home the Architecture in Media Award for its role in bridging art, architecture, design and sound. And Brooklyn-founded BlackSpace Urbanist Collective is awarded the New Perspectives Award for its equity-centred approach to neighbourhood planning and racial justice in urban communities.
