AIA: Searching for Superpublics
An exhibition examining emergent public realm strategies across New York City’s five boroughs through design and community engagement.
Location: Center for Architecture (AIA New York), 536 LaGuardia Place, New York, NY 10012, United States
Date: 3 October 2025 – 28 March 2026
Searching for Superpublics investigates new typologies of public space across all five boroughs of New York City. Through case studies the exhibition highlights linear parks, adaptive streets, ecological infrastructure and civic amenities that prioritise collective comfort and connection. These projects are positioned as speculative interventions addressing access, affordability, resiliency and social inclusion. Curated by Ivi Diamantopoulou and Jaffer Kolb, the exhibition engages the past, present and future of civic space through design innovations that respond to community‑led and environmental imperatives.
