Architect of the Year Awards 2026
Annual awards recognising architectural practices for outstanding bodies of work across design, delivery, and professional leadership.
Location:
Convene Sancroft, St Pauls, Paternoster Square, London EC4M 7DQ, United Kingdom
Date:
7 October 2026
The Architect of the Year Awards 2026 is an annual industry event recognising excellence across architectural practice, celebrating both individual projects and broader bodies of work. Organised by Building Design, the programme evaluates practices across a wide range of sectors including housing, education, public buildings, and interiors.
The awards foreground professional achievement through categories that address contemporary priorities such as regenerative design, retrofit, and digital optimisation. A significant proportion of awards are judged on sustained output rather than single projects, offering a comprehensive assessment of practice performance.
The ceremony takes place alongside the Building the Future Conference, creating a shared platform for discourse on design, construction, and industry direction. The event convenes leading architects, clients, and consultants, reflecting current shifts in architectural production and procurement.
