Chirriger Moort is a significant retrospective dedicated to Peter Farmer, one of Western Australia’s most respected and innovative architects. Presented at the WA Museum Boola Bardip — itself one of Perth’s most celebrated contemporary buildings — the exhibition traces Farmer’s career across decades of practice, examining his contribution to the WA built environment and his approach to designing in a landscape and culture unlike anywhere else in the world.
The exhibition draws on drawings, models, photographs, and archival material to bring Farmer’s body of work to life. It is at once a tribute and a critical examination of how one architect shaped the character of buildings and places across the state. For practitioners and students working in Western Australia, it offers rare insight into the processes and philosophies of a local master.
