Alenda Y. Chang, Associate Professor of Film and Media Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara, will discuss the intersections of ecology, technology, and media through natural modelling in digital games.
The talk will examine how 3D asset libraries contribute to representations of nature in games, cinema, and architecture, and will consider the implications of computational photogrammetry on traditional modelling practices.
The event is part of the CRUNCH Series at The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, and will be chaired by Déborah López Lobato, with responses from Lucia Pietroiusti. Attendance is free and on a first-come, first-served basis; doors close at 18:40.
