Designing for Wellbeing & Neurodiversity
A CPD seminar from the Manchester Society of Architects exploring how daylight and glazing strategies intersect with neurodiversity and human-centred design.
This event counts towards the RIBA Core Curriculum and delivers a minimum of 2 CPD hours — covering Design & Technology, Health & Wellbeing, and Regulations. ARB Health & Safety competency also applicable.
Manchester Society of Architects hosts this CPD evening exploring daylight as a critical design tool for wellbeing and neurodiversity. Held at BDP Manchester, the event brings together practitioners, researchers and specifiers to examine how architectural decisions around natural light, acoustics and spatial organisation can support neurologically diverse building users.
The evening combines short technical presentations with an open panel discussion, allowing attendees to engage directly with speakers and explore real-world applications. Topics span evidence-based design strategies, product innovation and regulatory considerations — all framed around the relationship between the built environment and human health.
MSA Live CPD sessions carry a minimum of 2 CPD hours aligned to the RIBA Core Curriculum, with relevance to Design & Technology, Health & Wellbeing, and Regulations. The event also supports the ARB Health & Safety competency framework, making it applicable for architects seeking structured CPD across multiple areas.
