Craft + Design Canberra presents the opening night for two concurrent exhibitions on 30 July 2026. Composition and Shadows brings together ceramic works by Sarit Cohen, drawing on her upbringing in Israel and the influence of the Bauhaus and early 20th-century Decorative Arts movement to explore architectural moments through sculptural vessels and objects.
Fragile Structures: The Architecture of Decay is a collaborative exhibition by visual artists Madeline Cardone and Fran Romano, working in glass and ceramics. Their shared interest in the built environment drives an examination of ruins, decay and architectural phenomenology through the deconstruction and reconstruction of space.
The official opening and artist talks take place in the gallery from 5:30pm. Admission is free and registration is available via Humanitix.
